The fix to the Russian Language Pack problem is now live.

To play Family Life you don't need to go through an installation process, just download the game and run the file named gameENG.qsp.
In case that is not working, run qspgui.exe in the folder QSPgui. To play in English, press Alt+L and choose the language from the list.
After that, go to the top menu, in the top left corner press Quest then Open Game, then just show the software its path to the game file gameENG.qsp.

The latest public version: 0.4.5. What's new:
Added quite a lot of small dialogues and adventures to show off the traits of our characters better.
Ability to find out all the possible endings established at this point in development. To be fair, you won’t even be able to get to some of them till the release of the ver.0.6, but you are able to find out what can happen.
Four new events with Foxy! – A new branch of events (new ways to seduce her), which starts from the choice connected with the Adams family (go soft on her).
This path ultimately shows another way to conquer Foxy, a more softer one. It is so far the easiest in all of her possible outcomes and influences nobody else but her.
Also added a couple of events with the whole family, some with Laura, some with Gina, some with our new characters… (Which makes around ten more events added in this version in total).
The fix takes care of the problem with 0.4.5 with most of the pictures not loading in-game because of the Cyrillic characters left in some of the filenames.
Minor changes:
Improved the process of spying on the babysitter by including random shots from the camera feed.
The sports center is now working. Morgan sure has a lot of friends there…
Added the possibility for an interesting way to spend time at the nightclub, as well as some interactions and adventures there.
Same goes for the strip club. There you might be interacting with its owner Johnny and his people. Although you do know Johnny, you still should not expect to have any time to relax when he is around.

We checked it again, and everything appears to be in order, maybe, try redownloading the game once more?
DeletePics are busted the problem is the file names. On non Russian systems it just reads as gibberish in the file explorer. So when a English local pc tries to load the files up, it looks for the Russian name, but the pc sees a bunch of gibberish.

Some of them for some reason work, but many are just broken file images.
DeleteSent an email to the support email listed on main page. But yeah seems like even if I could get .8 via patreon you guys did great English text translation but the pictures some how got skipped, leaving tons of broken pic icons in the game...

The problem here turned out to be Cyrillics, which were hastily left in the file names to speed up the process of release of the current version. Our programming team is now on it, and the game distributive should be fixed and updated here, as well as on the other resources that might have led you to our blog around the next 2-4 days, so, please, remain patient till then.
DeleteInstalling Russian langauge to windows 10 even marking it primary and restarting to all russian still does not fix it. So I guess I will have to wait a few days to even play the free version. Or i could track down that bad translation I saw some one uploaded their 6.0 on rapid gator but man is a crap translation and would take me like 2 days to download it anyways with out paying rapidgator, since its in pieces...

DeleteI had the same problem with the pics not loading (Cyrillic names). I solved it by changing my system language to Russian and then extracting the files from the zip archive. Cyrillic names appeared correctly. Then I changed my system language back to what it was, and I played the game with pics.

DeleteIt is not really an event. I believe when we reach 100 points for all appearance skills this pic appears with a message and the game freezes.
Okay, it is. Please make sure that it does happen on the recently patched version that is on this page now. If it does, we will be directing it to our programmers again as they were not able to locate the freeze and its cause last time it was brought up.
DeleteAnother bug found: When you meet Heidi at the nightclub, she greets you calling you Mr. Morgan. Then you say something like: "You can call me 'first-name'" But the displayed 'first-name' is not the one chosen by the player in the beginning of the game, it shows a Russian name in Cyrillic (Andrei if a remember well)

ReplyDeleteYes, we’re still working on the game. We just add the news to articles that are already published. We’re devoting all of our free time to the game. The last month we’ve added 21 huge events to the game and 80 standard pages of texts.

ReplyDeleteSame here, the only thing that shows up is game.qsp. and when it is pointed that direction I just get a broken image link and it stops nothing else can be done.
ReplyDeleteIt seems that you're missing the starting image. The game.qsp file should be in the same folder with the 'pic' folder. Either you're missing this folder, or it's renamed somehow.
